Go and buy it now...especially if you have a 3dfx card. The tracks are
updated and I find the whole sim to be much improved.

I have N2 and the GN expansion pack, what would N99 add?  I don't care about
the Trucks, so that's not an issue. Are the tracks updated? etc.
Thanks for any comments.

Maybe it's just me, but I felt the AI was much more improved.  Now when
I go into a corner underneath an AI driver, they don't try to drive through
my door; they actually stay up high.  That's just ANOTHER reason even the
UPGRADE is worth it.

Not only are several of the tracks updated(Atlanta, Texas, others), but
there are lots more tracks.  The Homestead, FL track is awesome!  I think
there are about 35 tracks in all.

You say you don't care about the trucks, but you will.  They are a blast to
bump and bash around Vegas and Watkins Glenn!  They drive very differently
than the Cup cars.

If you don't get N99, I think you're missing out on half of the fun.  Also,
N99 is compatible with all the fun stuff for N2 like the Car Toys program
from ThePits, and their sound program for the touring cars.  N2 Crew Chief
also works in N99.

I agree.  With N99 I can drive two cars side by side through all the corners.
Before N99 the AI cars would whip down into me.  It is cool.  The two-row
restarts are cool too.

I thought I wouldn't care about the trucks, but they are fun too.

Does this AI improvement apply to the multiplayer (which I have read
still uses the DOS version)?  We like to race at work, and I am
curious if we can eliminate the AI cars coming down on us.
