need help connecting to hawaii

by Gregory Madd » Sat, 15 Feb 1997 04:00:00

hello,

I am having trouble getting into Hawaii.  I have been on Hawaii with
my parents computer, so I know what it is SUPPOSED to do.  On my
computer, everything goes well through the MOTD, and all that stuff,
but when I choose connect to race scheduler, it brings up the screen
and with the box over it saying "connecting to scheduler".  And that's
as far as it gets, everytime.  after about 30 seconds, my modem
disconnects and the screen says "no carrier".  Any insight on what the
problem might be, and how to fix it?

Thanx for any help in advance.

Is this a new account?  If so, Papyrus may not be accepting new
ones, since Hawaii will end soon.

You need alot of memory below 640k. If you load a cdrom driver in dos,
this combined with a mouse driver and other will use memory and not leave
you with enough free memory to run hawaii. Rem out you cdrom driver and
you should have enough to connect.
