The ATI Rage Pro doesn't support Glide, Rendition or OpenGL and so
will be useless for Grand Prix Legends, you're right.
Whilst the Voodoo 2 was an excellent graphics card, and still is, it
has been passed by far superior cards, such as the Voodoo 3.
The Voodoo 3 will work perfectly well in Sports Car GT, Na scar 3 and
Grand Prix Legends, but you will need to download the latest drivers
for it to prevent texture corruption which appears in GPL.
The 3500 is the fastest and best of the Voodoo 3 series, but also the
most expensive.
You could buy a Voodoo 3 now, or wait a couple of months for the
release of the Voodoo 4, 5 and 6 and buy one of them, or enjoy the
price drop of the Voodoo 3.
You wouldn't need to use your ATI Rage Pro as a 2D card any more. The
Voodoo 3 is a 2D/3D card in itself. Besides, it's so much more
powerful than the Rage Pro, you'll never look at games in the same
light again.
