Nascar2 w/o CD

I noticed when I went to run Nascar2 that there was an error loading the
intro, but the game came up fine.  Played the game, then I went to take
the CD out and I relized it was a different CD in the drive.  Does
everyone elses work w/o the CD in the drive.  Tried w/o the CD and it
was functional every time. Put the CD in and got the intro. I did a full
install from win95, then copied the qualify setups in manually in case
it matters.  On a full install w/o CD in the drive is anything missing,
It didn't seem so.

Also, I know that default ace setups need tweaking, but have you noticed
that the ace gear setup at Tally cause the engine light to come on most
of the track??  I know a quick gear adjustment should take care of it,
but aren't default setups ussually on the safer side??

Not enough time to work on the setups...They set them up as best
they could, but of course they had more pressing issues - like IPX,
Rendition, etc...

The error was that it couldn't find the video that plays from the cd.

I just deleted the middle line from n2.bat so you dont get the error
msg and it works fine.

Yes, the sim will run fine without the CD.  If you want to avoid it
altogether, in your shortcut change the command line from "./n2.bat" to
"Nascar2.exe".  Please note that if you modem play with this set up that it
will still ask the call receiver for the CD.
