Grand Prix 3 News:
Yesterday I received some interesting news about Grand Prix 3.

"Microprose are re-negotiating the license for GP2 for the Powerplay re-
release on budget. Hooked into this is the Gp3 license for probably 1998
season. Psygnosis don't have a exclusive, actually".

"Problem is twofold. They need the revenue from a budget release, want a
license for GP3- this has caused the problems with the UK PC Gamer
article- and for it to have been delayed/pulled twice. They are stuck at
the moment".

"It's stalling the project, cause it will greatly effect the outcome of
the project. They can't go to much further without knowing, cause it will
for one, greatly effect the network code base".

"It's still to be released in 1999 for sure. I'd say 3rd quarter".

Microprose is so disorganized that their greatest vapourware king
Falcon 4.0 hasn't shipped after years and years of delays, after the cost
overruns on Falcon4.0 if it ever does ship, I doubt Microprose will be
around long enough to actually do GP3.
