NASCAR - is it worth it?

This is a question for the "non-Americans"... people who have never watched
NASCAR....

I have never watched it.... I know almost nothing about it.... and bearing this
in mind, and bearing in mind the processor drain the simulator has....

Is it worth buying..?

I have a 486dx2-66... I noticed the my local games store has reduced the NASCAR
game down to 25 pounds (on CD-ROM), I'm interested to see this game play in
sVGA mode, but if it is as slow as some people are telling me then I'm not going
to waist my money....

after all, would "Future Zone" have reduced the price by almost half in such
a short time if the game was a real hit....?

I didn't even like racing until I drove ICR and NASCAR, now I am a *big* fan of all racing.
As for the SVGA version, get the CDROM so that you can play it in the future, but for
now all you will be able to do is use the SVGA version to look at with just a few cars on the
track, because it is very slow on  a 486DX2-66, the CDROM version does include the VGA
version of the game also, though, so you can use that for now.
