indy1 big mother of a blind spot.

i am just a bit pissed off cause i can't get better lap times than in

i guess you can't even please half of the people half of the time!

this was possibly the biggest 'want' from peoples wish list for icr2,
ie some way of knowing where the guy beside you is.

Um... ICR2 has blind spots as normal if you ask me. ie... Directly to the left &
right of the***pit. Of course you can now use the spiffy "ARCADE" view
option. Since there is no PADLOCK or scrolling***pit type view, you can
only look directly ahead, or in the mirrors. The left & right views are left to
luck and improved AI. IMHO...

Here's a neat trick with mirrors for you...  Turn your car
completely around and face oncoming traffic.  If you watch your
mirrors, you'll see the cars directly IN FRONT OF YOU.  I noticed this
on the demo version on the Laguna Seca track.

Yup,
Have you also noticed that when you completely wreck one of the AI cars,
he appears undamaged in your 'magic' mirrors.

BTW, I think Papyrus got it *RIGHT ON* with the mirrors. No more guessing
if an AI car is beside you or not. Now if only I could get them to stop
driving into me.....

The super mirrors were added to make up for your lack of
peripheral vision.  since in the sim you can't turn your head and see if
someone has a front wheel up on your sidepod, the mirrors let you know if
it is safe to turn in.
