The biggest bull ***ing bastard you can afford that supports high
refresh rates, low dpi and ideally has some l33t sp34k Brand name! :)
Well, all but the brand name bit.

I second that. I bought a FE950+ about a year ago and love it.

I think the FE950 is about the same as the Mitsubishi 22" 2060u, which is
what I have and it's been a wonderful monitor as well.

FE950 is a 19", the FE1250 is the 22". I've had both 950 and 1250 but am
now using a Samsung 17" LCD. Yea, I know I sort of downgraded but was
fed up with all the heat that 22" behemoth was putting out.

I have the 20" LCD from Dell.  It's absolutely amazing and I will never
go back to a CRT.  It works well in most games and is stunning in
driving games since 90% of the movement is coming towards you.  GTR2002
at 1600x1200 is heaven.  It's a little on the expensive side, but if you
head over to the ARS Technica forums, you'll see it's probably the best
*** LCD out there.

I'll take it, if you want to give it away.  My computer room is cold *anyway* -
I could USE the extra heat...<g>

Doh!
Out of curiousity, how much did you sell it for?

I haven't found it to be an issue at all.  The text is incredibly sharp
and with the adjustable font smoothing of XP it's really a dream to use
for text.  I have a very nice 21" Sony/Dell CRT at work and I run that
at 1280x1024 because the text is just not as sharp as the LCD.  I might
not be the best judge of resolution though.  I've always valued screen
real estate and tend to run my monitors at their highest supported
resolution.

Grrr....  Another missed opportunity.  I'll just add that to the LIST. :-(
