GP500 Brake behavior

I have a couple of questions regarding brakes in GP500:

1) Is the front brake somehow linked to the engine as well as the front
wheel?  I notice the revs drop in Neutral when the front brake is applied,
but not the back brake.  I also notice that applying the FRONT brake when
accelerating over grass, kerbs, and sand helps keep the REAR wheel from
spinning, this seems counter-intuitive, unless the front brake is somehow
"governing" the engine as well.

2) Why is it that I get rear wheel lock up when I separate the front and
rear brake but not when they are linked, regardless of how aggressively I
apply the brake.  (When linked they are analog, when separated the front
is analog and the rear is digital)

3) Is there a "brake bias" control buried in an .ini file somewhere for
combined braking?

Thanks!
