Spirit of '37?

I just read something the other day, at a site I can't remember now, about a
sim based on the 1937 Grand Prix Season.    Apparently it's to be called
Spirit of '37.    I have looked all over the web for more info on this but
have not found another word about it.    Does anyone have any more info?

The sim you are referring to is called the Spirit of Speed and will be
published by Microprose. The developers site is here
http://www.broadsword.co.uk/currentparent.htm. You can also go to Deja News
and type in Spirit of Speed to retreive the discussions that went on here in
the last couple of months.

I wonder what it takes to get tracks from different Sims converted to
other Sims.  N2/3 to GPL converter will probably give me an idea of what
files need to be edited and will probably give me an idea of what files
from the other Sims need to be edited to be converted.  I'd assume that
the graphics in their individual forms would not look as good as tracks
from other sims i.e. Spirit of Speed vs GPL, but if they are able to be
used even in their relatively ugly forms....  it's something to look in
to I guess.  Maybe it's just wishful thinking.  Find out soon I guess.

I think you are refering to Spirit of Speed a 1937 race simulation by
Broadsword for Microprose.
I am looking forward to this as it includes Brooklands and some great cars
from the period.
