Poor NASCAR Manual

NASCAR has finally reached Australia, unfortunately we got stuck
with the English version - no REAL cars or drivers and a crappy
20 page manual.

I can ftp the cars and drivers but what about the manual? Compared to
the manual for Indycar it is a joke. Maybe Papyrus could provide us
with a text file we could download.

Indycars don't run at Talladega in official competition, and I doubt
they even test there. The banked turns are so steep that they possibly
could do 240+mph averages. Stock cars go 200+mph. I recall that Mark
Donohue
ran a speed record at Talladega in a modified Porsche 917-10 Turbo in the
mid 70s; something like 230+mph average over many laps.

Unfortunately, the downforce of IndyCars does not allow them to run on
Talledega.  For this reason, I do not believe that Indianapolis should be
called the fastest track on earth, because if IndyCars could at Talladega,
they would be at a much higher speed than Indy. Just look at NASCAR -- 195
(should be in the 200's 'cept for those damn restrictor plates) at Talladega
and 165 at Indy...

Indycars already run much faster at Michigan than at Indy - about by
10mph,
even without the special purpose engines allowed at Indy. Roger Penske,
who owns Michigan, is currently building another superspeedway like
Michigan near L.A. - maybe it'll be faster thatn Michigan, but it seems
that technical rules will slow down the cars enough to keep the balance...

Seems your not the only one complaining about the European version of the manual.

BTW, the picture on the box has telemetry, but it ain't there in the game.

I thing us Aussies was ripped offffffff.
