DMADIAG.EXE WORKS!!!

The DMADIAG.EXE that David Sparks posted DOES fix the problem with having to
load win95 completelely, reboot in MSDOS mode, and then run ICR2 and Quake
rendition ready titles.  Try it, and please post your findings.

My apologies for posting it on r.a.s. I intended to mail it to someone who
mentioned that they had a problem and ended up posting it instead. Let me
just give myself a little slap on the wrist here <whap!> and I promise
never to do it again. At least until the next time my brain fades...

Glad it worked, but I'm confused.

It's not really supposed to fix anything.  It's supposed to measure
your DMA performance.  What exactly did you do?

Well, it reported that my DMA performance "sucks", but it did allow me
to get ICR2 running in DOS without first booting to Win95.  Before I
got DMADIAG, I had to boot to Win95, select shut down, and re-start in
MS-DOS mode in order to get ICR2 running.  If I tried to run it from a
straight DOS boot, I'd just get a garbled screen when running ICR.  So
now I've just added DMADIAG to my indycar batch file, and everything
is golden.  Don't ask me why it works, it just does, and I'm a happy
camper <g>.
