I use a T2 since I like gearsticks and hate paddles
so much. The pedal return spring on the throttle
of my T2 has broken. Says something about my
driving style don't it :-)

The thing still works but the pedal is loose and
floppy. It's a thin springy wire clip that is
broken. Can you still get that T2 maintenance
pack I heard about?

I made my own springs. I went downstairs where the insulation was held up in
the ba***t ceiling. The wires they cut to fit between the joists to hold
the insulation up is perfect to make a spring. I just wound it around a
rachet
handle, clipped to length, and voila !!

Have you tried using a plain ol' bungy cord hooked to the front of the base
unit, wrapped around the back of the pedal and then hooked to the front
again? I know it doesn't look too great but it actually works better than
the springs because it is easily adjustable and very cheap..
