Will Nascar2 have sun glare?

Hi,
I was surfin' the Sierra homepage earlier today and I found a
homepage that had some Nascar 2 screen shots on it.  One picture had
what appeared to be sun glare off the windsheild of the car.  This
looked like a very cool effect and would make the game that much more
realistic.  Will the final release of Nascar 2 have this in it?  The
same homepage also had a really cool picture of a night race at
Bristol, it would look awesome if people in the crowd had flash
cameras!

Keep up the great work Papryus!

This would look really great!!  However, I will be a lot more interested in
changes that effect the game play and simulation.  The NASCAR Racing 1
graphics are fine.  Adding lots of cool graphics that require a Pentium Pro
600 in lieu of simulation improvements such as better AI car crashes,
better passing, pit strategy etc. would be a shame.

I did not see glare as one of the new enhancements.  It was suggested
earlier and I am sure considered by Papyrus - but I suspect it will not be
in the product.

I second your motion - keep up the great work Papyrus !!!

I was just about to order the Reactor when I read the posts
regarding Windows 3.x drivers.  My question is, will
Windows 3.x run using a Reactor card with the default VGA
Windows drivers, or is the dreaded "upgrade" to Win95 finally
upon me.

There are Win3.1 drivers for the Creative Labs 3D Blaster PCI, so I can
only assume that the Reactor would work with the default VGA drivers
(the two cards are identical hardware-wise).  Intergraph may choose do
supply similar drivers in the future, but with little demand there is
no real incentive for them to do so.

BTW, You do really do need to upgrade to Win95 anyway.  Heck, it's
worth it for the long files names alone.  Also, many newer titles will
be Win95 native and utilize Direct3D.

No sun glare. It was just a concept that they worked up, but it turned out
to be too difficult. It seems that a Rendition version might be possible
though, that's the sort of thing that Rendition does well.

Has anyone heard if you will be able to have night races at Bristol,
Rockingham, Richmond or C***te?  That would be great as long as it
is not like Quake, the lighting was a bit too dim for me!

Position you monitor at a 45deg. angle to an window and play either early
morning or late afternoon (depending on direction window faces).  I'm sure you
will get excellent sunglare!!

It would stand to reason that there WOULD be night races at just Bristol,
Richmond, and C***te.  It would be nice (though doubtful) to have those
tracks with lights installed to be night-race capable.
