You have checked your Spam filters and the like, I've heard of a few who
didn't get a reply because it got blocked somewhere.

I've heard of a few requests being ignored due to the deplorable
standards of English contained therein.
Some among those proffering mails were incapable of constructing a
coherent sentence, it is rumoured; their sentience akin to that of an
intellectually challenged tree shrew.

NO?!  you mean that maybe mean and or belligerent emails about missing key,
might get pushed to the bottom of the pile, say it aint so...

Thanks for your efforts Playboy.

Unfortunately it would seem that dunder-headed half-wittedness
constitutes the primary criterion for omission, as opposed to mere
meanness and or belligerence.

Tightfisted anger is not an entirely ennoble motive.

Not real sure why youre telling me this.

If you prefer offline racing fine with me but I would rather race online.
How you can turn that into a bad thing I dont understand?

Not sure who youre racing against online but Id find another crowd if I were
you  :)   On any given night I can find a few good races.  Granted we have
some idiots as well but they usually get bored quickly and move back to CS.
Beyond that they are easily outrun by anyone with modest skills once youre
past T1.

Oh but geez, wouldnt I be digressing if I attacked the subject I put at you,
if I made *ALL* those concessions?  all I was about was teasing ya, about
looking on the BRIGHT SIDE,
damn.

Thanks Playboy, I often look on the bright side also. I encourage this
state of self delusion with a***tail of Prozac and cheap vino locale,
which I have shipped into my quarters by a circumcised monk called
Alpho.

It is rumoured that he procures it wholesale from Elisa, a conceited
yet detumescing ***-ette who frequents Prio's dank dive of a bar
off the palazzo three miles east of here.

Finally got it.  The receptionist gave it to me over the phone.

As for Tim, when I "take a break" from my job I generally make sure the
replacement can actually do my job ;)  6 days is not acceptable under these
circumstances.

Now if they would just fix the widespread Momo issues I can actually race
this game on a regular basis :(

Im still scratching my head as to why after all these months since initial
release its still an issue for so many.  You would think controller issues
would take priority over everything else.  Unless of course they do
something really stupid, like forgetting the key stickers  <vbseg>

Mitch,

I've fallen a little behind... but do you still have the web page with
rFactor and GTL Momo configurations?  Have you had any problems with the
centering?   I still have to go in and manually play with the setting in
the player file to get the centering of the MOMO just right.  It varies
a little between GTL and rFactor.

I don't have a TrackIR, but the new 4 Pro is tempting.  Do you guys who
have them really like using them?  Any tips and or warnings?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Under what circumstances?

Heck, my wife reported a gas leak across the road so a guy checks with a
meter which sure enough went sky high. He called in another team who
drilled some holes in the pavement opposite our house to locate the leak
(presumably with a meter rather than to find a hissing noise!). Chalked
the pavement with a nice circle round the offending hole and a number
and said another team would be along to dig up the pavement.

That was 8 days ago!

So in perspective you received an online code for a game faster than a
gas company can get around to fixing a gas leak in the road!!

Cheers
Tony

Hi Scott.  Yeah its up at http://aardvark.servebeer.com but I havent done
anything recently.  I keep getting sidetracked :)   IIRC a few of the links
no longer work (different ports) but if you want something thats unavailable
let me know and Ill fix ya up.  The sphanky settings are in their somewhere
though.  I also used the rFactor controller.ini settings in my GTL
player.ini though and that may not be the right way to go about it but it
works for me.  The only downside is the oscillations coming out of the pits
or if you take your hands off the wheel.  I can live with that over the weak
forces though.

As for centering my wheel.  While in the pit or not moving it always goes to
the left but as soon as I move the car it centers ok without the artificial
centering form the CP.  I just make sure Ive ran the wheel through its full
range of motion before I go onto the track.  Its been this way since F1C
days IIRC.

I don;t use the TrackIR much in racing sims.  I have it at the ready with a
button push though and do use it for specific corners or exiting my pit
garage.  TrackIR seems much more suited to flight Sims imo but others use it
all the time.  Be prepared for a learning curve if you do make the jump.

Arent you having a problem with your Momo losing connection occasionally?
Not really losing the connection but it is no longer recognized in game till
I go back to main options/controllers?  Online the wheel seems a bit more
finicky as well.

And Im still missin swervin Irvan :)

The circumstances that they created by not sticking the sticker ;)

I agree 8 days for a gas leak is much worse in the "big scheme" but that
doesnt blunt the poor service from Viva either :)

I hope you dont live near many smokers TR :))

LOL Thanks for all the info Mitch.  I've been layed up with the flu all
week and going bonkers.  So when I'm feeling up to it, I've been running
some GTL. I haven't had any problems with the MOMO losing connection
or recognition so far.  Are you using the wingman software at all?  I
haven't set up any profiles and everytime I do, I never end up firing
the software up anyways.

Mostly right now I'm just experimenting with graphics settings and
trying to get the most balance out of the sims performance.  My
"ancient" system I'm using is a P4 3gig with 2 gigs of PC3200 DDR. I'm
using an AGP ATI X800XT All-In-Wonder 256mb video card and Audigy Gamer
sound card.  Not exactly cutting edge by todays standards, and the
longest I've ever had a core component setup in a PC without a rebuild.
I'm hoping to rebuild this fall/winter after VISTA if I can hold off
that long.

In offline with 29AI, I stay between 25 - 60 fps depending on the track
and number of cars around.  I don't notice too much stuttering, but it
happens on occasion.  I have the driver hands/feet turned off... but I'm
split on whether I like having it turned on or off.   I'm running at
1024X768X32 with Level 1 AA and DX9.
