Voodoo3 Darkness

Voodoo3 Darkness

        I just upgraded from a Voodoo1 to a Voodoo3.  Everything's
been working well so far except for the main reason I bought the new
card in the first place...  GPL!  Whereas everything was bright and
well-lit on my Voodoo1, I now appear to be driving at night!
My (admittedly old) monitor is already at its brightest
settings, and changing the Glide gamma settings under "3dfx Tweaks"
does nothing.  Does anyone know of a fix, short of buying a new
monitor?
        Any help will be appreciated.

I don't think so.

Can you adjust the frequency the card supplies?

I guess it's depending on your monitor as well. An older monitor
tends to produce a darker image if the refresh rate is too high.
I noticed the same problem with my ADI 4V 15".

I've got the same darkening with the latest (Quake3 "tweaked") drivers for the Voodoo2.
There are some new V3 drivers out today I think, which may help.
