The Pot for the gas may have moved while you were attaching the spring. if
the Pot was moved to its extreme the Joy stick controler may not see the pot.
Take a look at the pot and see if it is at its extreme position.  Good Luck!

I finally had in happen, the gas pedal spring in my T1 broke.
I was not suprised when it happened and have some spare springs
onhand.

I replaced the spring. It was fairly simple after I looked around
for a bit. I was EXTREMELY careful with wires/etc when taking it apart.
However, after putting it back together, Papyrus indycar/nascar do
NOT see the gas/brake controls(steering, shift, buttons are seen).

I have taken it apart to recheck and see no visible problems.

service is).
Any ideas...Chuck

I'd be inclined to make sure you didn't get the pot out of sync... that
is to say it got turned while the pedal gear was not meshed up with it.
That might be the problem complicated by that fact that if either full
extent of the pedal takes the pot Past it's binding point, you could
really mess up the pot.  Just replaced my gas spring last weekend and had
that happen.  Didn't mess up the pot, but I could feel the pot bind up
before the pedal hit the floor.

Just call the customer service line;

Tech support 503.968.3400
Repair/Service 503.968.3411

...and trust me, the service is there.  I called on a Sat in a panic
because my spring snapped.  Got the voicemail.  Left a message with all
the vitals and within a week, Poof... Tune up kit!  I'm very happy with
Thrustmaster!  I got a fistful of springs, a bungee for the wheel, extra
pots and a smattering of nuts and bolts!  Bravo TM!
