Does anyone have an init string or solution to this problem.   I have a
USR 33.6 voice  internal modem....I get a latency of .25 each time I
race...This sucks!!  Started a race last night 5 laps down!....Thanks

The .25 latency reading you are getting may not be accurate.  I have
always gotten this same reading from the first day I signed onto
Hawaii.  It is usually joined by a "shaky connection"  If you want to
see what your true latency is, sign onto a race, once you are in the
main menu, hit < control + y + t  > This will give you a true reading.
When I use this method, I'm usually showing between .12 and .15
latency.

Hope this helps,

Shawn Wise

I dont believe its your modem or init string. I would guess you have a
problem with static or noise perhaps in your phone line or poor line
service in your area.

I tried the <control + y + t > thing the other nite.  When I log on it
tells me that I have a slow .25 latency too, but when I did this it told
me that my latency was only .11.  So I guess that the .25 is some sort of
a generic bug.
