Nascar 4

I've had Nascar 4 now for 3 days. So far I, personally, love it. I'm not a
huge Nascar fan, but I have always enjoyed the series from Papyrus. I am
running a PIII 850 with 512 MBs and a TNT 2 Ultra 32. I have had no problems
running it. No lock ups, no slowdowns, nothing. I am running full detail
with everything on. I will tell you though, that I am running Win2K. I have
gone in and shut down every service that I don't need. The only things
running are Explorer, Systray, a few networking options and speed disk.
That's it. System runs great.

I am sorry to read about all the other people that are having problems with
installs and getting it to run. I hope these can be overcome. I do have one
question, and if any out there knows any way around it, I would appreciate
it. In all the other versions of Papyrus Nascar I have been able to turn the
damage to none and that meant "JUST ME," not the entire field. Why is this?
I see cars flipping over in car wrecks (that I didn't cause amazingly
enough) and they flip right over and keep on going, because my damage is set
to none. I personally believe that this option should be for the PLAYER and
the PLAYER ONLY!! I can understand the need for this in the multiplayer
option, but not in the single player option. I'm just not that serious into
this to worry about keeping my car from getting damaged. Any thoughts here
would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Do the words Midtown Madness have any meaning?  :)

I agree that Midtown Madness 2 has it's moments, but I'd still like the
feature as it was originally designed in the previous 3 installments. I
doubt that Papyrus looks at these newsgroups too much, but if they do, maybe
they'll fix this minor detail of mine? :-)

Do you see damage on the AI cars?  I have damage on realistic and the AI can
drive away after a few barrel rolls or flips more often than not.

Marc.

I put damage on "none" and there is no damage to the AI cars. In previous
releases, none only meant your car, not the entire field... Anywho, it's
just a minor defect, I'm sure I can deal with it. If anyone does figure a
way around it, though, I'd love to hear about it...
