I wish to upgrade my 3d video card as after purchasing gp500 my present
one is not really upto the job.I am wondering which one would be the
best buy.I have heard the voodoo3 cards are good but i also play gpl
quite alot and have heard there are some problem whith voodoo3 on gpl.
So basically i need some good advice

Actually the Voodoo3 is THE card for GPL. If you don't want to wait for
the voodoo 4, 5, 6 or whatever number they're planning. It's the TNT
cards that are giving the trouble in GPL. I first bought a TNT2 card but
returned it after trying it in GPL and changed it for a V3. IMO the V3
is currently the best card for your money in GPL. The TNT might be
better in some other sims, but, hey,  isn't it GPL you need the
performance for? And everything else still works very good.

  Nope you have that backwards.  The Voodoo 3 3000 is a perfect card for
gpl.  Just make sure you have the 1.2 gpl patch installed and you will
get excellant performance.  The Nvidia cards have several issues with
gpl that prevent them from being an ideal card for that sim.

Everyone in the office here uses TNT2 Ultra.  They have come down in
price a lot and are very fast.  Of course if money is no object,  a
Geforce card is the one to buy.  Voodoo 3 cards are just based on such
old technology.  Hope I don't inflame anyone.
