F1 GP2 AVAILABLE IN ITALY - PER4MER -

I just received the box I long waited for.

I found inside a brochure about the PER4MER, a steering wheel.

Anyone knows it? What about it?

I live in the United States, the Per4mer is a steering wheel (not as good
as the Thrustmaster T2, but then again not as expensive either, I got mine
through mail order for $49.99 US).  One of the advantages of this wheel is
that you don't need a White/black converter plug like the T2.  There are 4
buttons mounted in the wheel for acceleration, braking, upshifting and
downshifting.  In addition there is 4 more buttons mounted on the console
(two for calibration purposes only, and 2 additional buttons but I haven't
found any use for them as of yet).  I've tested the wheel and it works in
F1GP1, F1 (by Domark - may be called Vroom in Europe, the Amiga version
was called that anyway), Indycar Racing 1, Nascar Racing, and The Need for
Speed.  The unit is all plastic and not as sturdy as the T2, but there are
no springs to break (The wheel has an odd center detent that takes a
little getting used to, I checked with SC&T2, the company who distributes
this product  in the US as well as a review in Computer Life magazine, and
the detent is normal - nothing broken).  It has no suction cups or clamps,
but amazingly, it stays put.  Again, you get what you pay for.  If you
live in the US, Tiger Software sells them for 49.99 + 6.99 for overnight
delivery. Their number is: 1 (800) 238-4437 (No I do  not work for Tiger
Software!)
