TPTCC at the uspits.com  check it out.  We are using a Touring Car mod for
Nascar Heat (DTM) and have had so many members we have had to split the
group into A & B classses...
  Road Racing almost exclusively....
also N3 still has a strong following of online racers with both pickup races
and league events.

Hummm.

Here's all I can come up with...

- Disable 'triple buffering' in 3dfx control panel.

- Make sure there are no graphics related DLL files in your GPL
directory. Rast3dfx.dll is the only Glide DLL you'll want.

- Check your app.ini for
  [ Graphics ]
lastRasterizerDLL = rast3dfx.dll              ;Last rasterizer DLL selected

- Try another driver set.  See

http://www.racesimcentral.net/
  or
  http://www.racesimcentral.net/

for a partial list of what's out there.

I hope one of these helps...

-Greg

This community could grow even stronger with the closing of the servers.
We still have TCP/IP peer to peer multiplayer where anyone can host a game.
Web sites and client software to organize races could be developed, that was
far more
informative and user friendly than the current EA servers.
January 8 will show how strong the community is.
There will sure be multiplayer games after January 8. But there might not be
games 24/7.

IIRC from back when SCGT was released, it did not work well for online play - it became a
slideshow even with just a few players. It performed OK over a LAN though, great fun.

I have GPL, but other than a little racing here and there, don't know the
SIM inside and out.

I don't recall anything about "GP/F1".  How is this enabled, turned on,
selected, or whatever?

Thanks :)

On-Line Racing Sims.

4 to MAYBE 5 players with broadband seems to work fine.  I've only tested
three tho...with the right data transfer settings it worked very well, but
the small # of cars possible before it really dragged didn't make it
worthwhile pursuing as an online sim.
There is a SCGT based Touring Car league that races online, but they only
run 4 cars per session and then combine the results.  Not good.
