GP2edwin question and comment

A question about Andrzej GP2edwin utility.
I am using the 1996 carset in GP2 however when the gp2edwin utility loads
it loads the original 1994 carset details into the program. ie David
Coulthard in the Williams, the Simtek team etc. etc.  If there a way to
have it load the 1996 carset without having to create it all over again?

Before I make the next comment I would like to say that Andrzej should be
congratulated for his fantastic utility.

I have concerns that anyone would use this utility to artificially lower
their lap times by changing the performance of their engine or increasing
the grip of their car and then posting the lap as a genuine lap record.
For this reason I will only use the performance altering options of this
utility to alter the performance of individual cars and teams to match
those of the current cars in F1 season.  The only situation in which I
would do this is:
(i) to modify the performance level of my current team so it resembles
the performance characteristics of the real F1 team.  example if I was
Damon Hill (I wish) in an Arrows and its performance in 1997 improved to
that of the Williams (we hope) then the utility should be used to match
the Arrows performance to that of the Williams by altering bhp and/or
grip.
In no circumstances will I ever increase the performance of my car to be
above that of the best car/driver combination on the circuit.  If you do
this and beat your own lap record even by 0.1 second then your kidding
yourself.

Something strange about this util.
Like you say, it starts of with the cars and details from the '94
season. If you do "load settings from gp2.exe" it seems to do nothing.
As a test, I tried changing low nose cars to high nose cars and
importing to gp2.exe. I ran the game and had a look, sure enough the
cars now had high noses. This is good because of the added touch of
realism :)
So, I don't really know what's going on with this util but at least it
changed the noses.

I haven`t noticed a problem with this utility, it automatically loads
my 1996 data when I start the program.  It may sound simple but under
the "Misc settings #1" tab try checking that the path to gp2.exe and
also the version that you have selected are correct (you don`t need
gp2.exe in the path).

Yep done that.
UK version and path points to c:\games\gp2
No dice in loading the 1996 carset settings though :(
Do you think it could have something to do with the particular carset
I'm using? I managed to get another util to work anyway, and that can
also raise the nose, which is what I really wanted the util for.
