Burnout - Starting Line slippage

by The Deatherage' » Thu, 30 Apr 1998 04:00:00

I took the plunge and bought Burnout. In order to get started quickly, I
downloaded some setups from the "Launch pad." I'm running the software
version on my HP P166 with a TM GP1 wheel.

Here's the problem: I pre-stage, then stage by letting the car creep forward
with the brakes ON then the first stage lights goes on,  then  the car
creeps forward (with the Brakes ON) and the first stage light goes out. Then
the second light goes on ( therefore I have unintentionally deep staged).
The car continues to creep forward until get the red light.  I changed the
roll out by switching from airplane front wheels to the big pizza cutter
wheels.

How do I keep the car from creeping through the lights? Do I have to use the
transbrake? I cannot find any brake adjustment and I have also recalibrated
the wheel.

Any suggestions?

Also, does Burnout have wheelie bars. On several on the Hot setups the cars
perform some wild blowovers?

As always Thanks !

Tim

Yes use the transbrake. What that does is basically put the transmission in
both reverse and 1st a the same time which keeps the car still. And, no the
game does not have whheelie bars in it, well, not functional anyway. Try
moving the weight up to the front on those blow-over cars.
