Is it possible to turn the aggression rating of the cpu drivers down in gpl
using the gpl season program ? I can see the attibute within the program and
was wondering what sort of level i should change it to and whether it has an
effect ? I'm fed up with being rammed at the last corner at monza by surtees
and others.

"Surtees really drove like that"?!
Well, he's still around today (one of the few remaining from that period)
which just makes me think that his driving wasn't THAT aggressive, Tony.

the fact is, you can't be braking where you're supposed to, i know this
sounds wrong, but after a while you'll start developing a certain way of
braking, and you'll brake LATER than the AI do. Hope this helps

Brake LATER than the AI?  I don't believe I'll EVER get that good...

Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you
with experience...

The Ai are relatively slow in gpl until you post a horrifically quick lap,
then they will speed up to compete with you.

Only tracks I have problems with them is Brands and Snetterton, I can lap
faster at Snetterton, but I crash lots still, wheras at Brands I just can't
go faster than they do.

I had my first experience of dodgy AI driving at Monza yesterday.
Thus far I've mainly been using Training mode, but lately I've tried
some races against the AI at various tracks.

So there I was hurtling down towards the Parabolica on the last lap of
a race with the AI (in second place) and ***y Jack Brabham rams me
from behind and shoves me off the road.  I was not pleased and
certainly wasn't expecting such behaviour from the AI!!  Of course
he's back on the track in a very short space of time and steals my
second place.  Meanwhile I'm fumbling around with Shift-R and losing
places all the time.

Looks like I need to be a little more wary of the AI in future...

I don't think turning the aggression level down will stop you
being rammed from behind.  The more you practice the later you
will start braking as you become more confident, you will then
find that you are braking at the same time as the AI and they
won't run into the back of you.  It's not easy to get to that
point but believe me you will get there eventually.

What I used to do (and still do if the guy seems to be going
quite a bit quicker) when an AI was behind me at a major braking
point, was to move off-line to the inside and let the AI go past
on the outside.  We would normally end up at the corner together
and I would be able to defend my position.
