N2: California & Texas...

God, I really didn't want to start this thread. But I gotta know.

Has Sierra/Papyrus announced plans to create tracks for the two newest
Winston Cup venues?

California Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway.

Now I *know* that Nascar 2.0 models a 1996 season,  so technically you
couldn't include them....But I wanna spin around these tracks anyways.

Is this projected for a possible "Track-Pack" add on for N2? Or do we
hafta wait another two years for Nascar 3.0?

Rumor suggests that these will be the first set of tracks available for
download off the Sierra/Papyrus web site.  No date has been set, however.

Where do you all hear this stuff?
Seriously though, I have heard stuff about
the patch but as I understand it any of the
track pack stuff is just rumors with little
or nothing to back it up concretely, so if
you all have got something I'd like to see
it. Thanks.

What about the new Atalanta track? I heard it's going to have a dogleg
in it and the Start/Finish line on the other side of the track.

Man if they put the new tracks online it will be cool, but their server
will get so many hits it will crash. Kinda like some places did when the
N2 demo came out.

A lot of changes should come.  Darlington finish line, Cal and Tex,
removal of North Wilkesboro, a Daytona, Atlanta shaped into C***te,
logo changes (all of Bruton Smith's tracks i mean), even if this "patch"
gets released into version 3.  And then there might be a Sears Pt. oval.
I remember that the games originally were to have rain, but never did.  I
want to see Papyrus with this feature, for sun is too boring when you are
at a dark daytona or a vancouver.

Yes, but when there is rain, there is no race. How fun is that?

I haven't read all the post recently and I'm wondering if papy said we were
going to get Daytona or what is the lastest info on Daytona? I would like
to see them add the sun and the rain they want to make it as real as they
can so go for it.  But then they will say its coming and then we get the
new version(patch or N3) and we don't see what they said was coming.  But
when its all about that important $$$$$$$$$$$$$ they will do what ever it
takes it make it look good and then !#*% you.

Thanks

Rob
