Is it true that brake and gas pedals are always on the same axis in this
wheel?
Or can it be configures otherwise (which is needed for tailbraking in GPL)?

Thanks

In default configuration it is single axis. If you add the RS-Shifter... you
can use separate axis.

Actually... If you use the newer drivers, the Force RS supports seperate
axis...

No, thats not correct. The ACT-LABS Force RS can be configured for seperate
axis.

Can anyone explain what you mean by seperate axis? It seems I've seen
settings for 2 and 3 axis (RC2000), but I have no idea what it means.

I just got the ACT Labs Force RS + shifter last week. (just got SCGT,
DTR, and N3 for Christmas...woohoo :)   )

Hello Ivan,

Nice Christmas it sounds like =)

If you go into your control panel and select game controllers, you should
see the ACT LABS showing.  Highlight it and select properties.  There you
should put a check in the box that says Operate Pedals Separateely and the
you will see the Position (X),  Throttle (Z) and Brake (Y).  Just check it
out and then when you go into the sim, such as N3, make sure you select
calibrate joystick 1 and then calibrate joystick 2.   I THINK, joystick one
is steering and brake and joystick 2 is the throttle.

Good luck and have fun! <G>

Hi Scott,

It WAS a great Christmas :)

So what you're saying is it allows you to use different calibrations for
the different axis?

Btw, I just read your review on the RS Shifter and I noticed you said
that DTR was compatible (?) Do you mean in free shifting or legacy mode?
Does it need a patch? (I know SCGT and Viper Racing do)

(If you can't tell I'm away for the holidays, so I can't go check it out
for myself/ I'm stuck reading the manuals and surfing on a Mac ;)  )

Thanks ag

When gas and brake pedal are NOT seperate axis, the one does just compensate
the other, which means u can never brake and use throttle at the same time,
or u can never change really fast from brake to throttle.

Ex: push gas 50 % and push throttle 30% mean u will in fact just brake 20%.

For GPL you really need seperate axis to play with brake and gas in corners.
