INAUGURAL SEASON CHAMPIONSHIPS AT DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA
More Than $30,000 in Cash and Prizes to be Awarded in Worlds First
Internet-Based Professional Racing Series
WHO: The NASCAR? Racing Online Series (NROS), the only official online
racing series of NASCAR?, will hold its inaugural season championship.
The NROS represents the beginning of professional sanctioned online
racing with more than $30,000 in cash and prizes awarded to the top
drivers. More than 2,000 online drivers participated in the first
season which lasted two months and consisted of 681 races in three
divisions, Novice, Intermediate and Pro. Online races consist of up to
22 drivers in a single race connecting through the Internet. Sponsored
by Sierra Sports, the NASCAR? Racing Online Series software is included
with the Sierra Sports NASCAR? Racing 1999 Edition CD-ROM. Visit the

WHAT: Eight of the worlds best stock car racing simulator drivers will
be competing in the final race of a 15 race series. The race is slated
to last over two hours and will consist of customized car-setups,
multiple pit stops, NASCAR? sanctioned rules and regulations and all the
racing action of a real NASCAR? race.
The top eight drivers from the Pro division of the NASCAR? Racing Online
Series are in ranking order as follows:

The Final Cup winner will be awarded the NASCAR? Racing Online Series
trophy, a check for $3,000 and an ECCI Steering Wheel valued at $1,000.
The awards ceremonies will take place on the Coca-Cola Wall of Speed?
located in front of the Ocean Conference Center on AIA in Daytona
Beach. Presenting the award will be NASCAR? Winston Cup Series driver
and candidate for rookie-of-the-year, Tony Stewart. Appearances by
NASCAR? Winston Cup drivers Jeff Burton and Dale Earnhardt will follow
the ceremony.
