Does anyone know a way of watching an ICR2 race as it happens, as in
F1GP, instead of going to accelerated time after retirement?

In Nascar (it should work the same in ICR2), I believe you can do so through the
Replay.  It will continue to play even after your car is out of the race.  You can
then follow the race centered on any of the AI cars you would like.

Basically, you gotta accelerate time when you retire. Then, when the
results come in, presuming you have enough memory, you can rewind to
the start and watch from there!
I guess your problem is that you don't have enough memory though isn't
it? Damn.

Yea, but what about when you are connected over the modem and one player
crashes out in the race.  Then you are stuck 'watching' the wall (or
however you managed to end up in the pre-determined spin movie) for the
next half of the race.

Being able to watch the race would be a much better option here.  That
is, unless your modem partner is willing to start over.
