NASCAR 2 Demo, Competition level???

by John D. Courtn » Thu, 26 Sep 1996 04:00:00

Hi everyone!
I have downloaded the NASCAR 2 demo, and it is awesome!!  It works
fine on my P120 16megs Ram.  Being a new PC user, (only about a
month), it was my first time seeing NASCAR Racing.  My one concern
however is competition.  In the game the competition was set initally
to about 85%.  I tried a race and started last, I was in the lead by
about lap 2 (having driving experience from a IndyCar demo I
downloaded a few days ago).  Will the offical release of NASCAR 2 be
more competitive?  I like racing where you can race the AI cars
door-to-door, where positions are swapped back and forth.  Is the demo
"watered down" as far as comeptition is concerned?

Thanks for any info,
John

John,

85% *is* the watered down version... bring it up until you're
competitive with them.  try 100% for starters.

Go #6 Mark Martin,#16 Ted Musgrave & #99 Jeff Burton - Jack Roush Racing!!
NASCAR Racing!!

John,

The competition is most definately "watered down".  In the official
release, if it is as the same as the original, you'll be able to set
opponents in the range from 80-120%.  That covers a lot of ground, and
for those that like to mix it up, gives them the option to.
