yet but for no I'll tell you...there is one....anyone found it? If so
just post hints...it kinda adds fun to try and find it and i must say
it is pretty easy to find once you know it's there....tomorrow I'll

Who cares. The game is a bad PC port with graphics close to an Atari 2600 !

Bad game, bad port, bad company.

To each his own I guess. And while i think you may have exaggerated i
agree, the graphics are not top notch. BUT they are acceptable,
especially once you get into the game. This game concentrates on
i-depth simulation as opposed to pretty graphics. This is Papyrus'
first venture onto the playstation and I am personally glad that they
decided to keep the incredible gameplay intact instead of
concentrating on making yet another Ridge Racer clone. Now that they
have had a chance to work with the playstation, they have the
potential to move up and onward, perhaps adding Wipeout caliber
graphics to the unbeatabley realistic gameplay that Papyrus is known
for. I would love to see a NASCAR 2/97 for the playstation with blow
me away graphics but if i had to chose I'd go with gameplay over
graphics anyday...

Like I said...to each his own!

Alrighty then, i guess I'll throw a clue out to the nascar junkies out
there....you've gotta do something during the intro....

More later!

Again, if you find it...hint before you give it away. BTW It sounds
like there may be more eggs!

Jeeze, guys! Easy there.

First off, it probably is a bad game for you, because it is a *sim*,
and sims often tend to be a little too subtle for those out there
really wanting Ridge Racer.  You have to work a little at sims, you
need to put some effort in to them to get something out. And if you
really aren't in to that sort of approach, they will simply seem like
boring arcades. If you are willing to work at them, they provide a
depth of gameplay you simply won't ever see in an arcade game.

Secondly, if you don't like the "game" to begin with, why did you buy
the PSX port of it? I don't think it is a bad port; it is better than
NASCAR for PC in many respects.

Lastly, Papyrus is the grandaddy of racing sims, and they know what
they are doing. I will agree that they have some problems- primarily
in releasing virtually all products without adequate debugging (which
is especially tough for PSX owners, since there is no upgrade path),
but they never really release anything truly unfunctional or lacking
in programming depth. They are a good company. I am somewhat
suspicious of Sierra, however.

Well put.

Yes, it is well worth the money. Anybody in to racing sims needs to
buy this, and we should all be glad that sim companies are starting to
take the platform seriously. I'd love to see GP2 out for PSX...
already we have the spectacular Psygnosis F1. We need a solid Indycar
sim too- I know, Andretti racing is OK. But not great, and the fact
that I can't calibrate my wheel really makes using it sort of crappy.

If I wanted a *sim* then I'd get into a real simulator, not some software
on a $199 console!

If I wanted a software *sim*, then I'd get formula 1.

(if you think both are equal, then fine. It's a question of taste).

Nevertheless, the graphics are still shitty.

I didn't buy it. I got it free for review. I would have NEVER bought this game.

It's a bad port as the game froze on 2 different systems. This didn't
happen on our PC version and GOD knows that a PC can be configured much
more than a Playstation.

Of course "you don't think it is a bad port". Too bad you have no proof
except 'thinking' to back up your claim.

They seem to know less than Psygnosis (and this coming from the people who
brought us Lemmings, you have to take your hat off).

*sims* tend to favor realism than fun. I see no realism in NASCAR for the
Playstation. Unless you consider gradient grey as a perfect representation
of a racing track.

(not to mention dots as a public and flat shading for walls)

Nascar for the Playstation is a complete waste of money, a waste of time
from a company that should get back to the basics are hire some
PlayStation programmers and graphic artists.

The game will be a flop on the Playstation and the company will lose out.

Long Live Nascar 2.
