Now we're jynxed. I never experienced HOG until you guys started talking
about it. The other day I was practicing Bristol on Mult. A couple of laps
after pitting for tires, coming out of turn four and WHAM. For a split
second I thought maybe I forgot to change a tire and Papyrus's blown tire
simulation was horrific! When I came to rest in a strange location I knew
something was weird. The replay looked like I went in the infield then back
on the track at right angles. Man... My neck hurts.

Sounds like a HOG expierience I went through,  as I was coming through turn 2 in Talladega
in a Multiplayer race with a college friend,  I hit the apron then the next thing I know I
was in the air and flying over grandstands,  then I teleported back down going 300+ MPH
and blew my engine.  That was horrible since there was 50 laps to go in a 100% Race Length
race.  My college friend was behind me and said "How the hell did you get in the air?"
He said that my car looked stupid in the air.  =(

Has the HOG been cured?

Hey, at least it was in a practice session <g>.  Your neck might be stiff
now, but if it'd happened during a race (or, shudder, a Hawaii league
race!), you'd probably be in traction!

We've posted a test version of MULTI.EXE for Hawaii which should resolve
HOG ... it's up on Hawaii as MULTBETA.ZIP.  Cheers.

Does this qualify as a HOG?  I got damage and hit Alt. I on the front
straight at Michigan.  The "tow truck" took me right through the pit wall
and blew all 4 tires off, and ripped the fenders and bumpers right off of
the car!  What's the deal?

that may have the HOG exercised.

Nope. That's a behavior of the tow truck if you use it offline or in
head-to-head. To my knowledge, it doesn't happen when you race online.

You didn't get blackflagged for entering a closed pit.  The penalty for
entering a closed pit is to go to the back of the field when the 1 till
green message comes out.  You may have gotten black flagged for passing
under yellow though, if the tow truck towed you past another car under
yellow, but I doubt that that happened.  If it did though, report it to
Ed, Adam, et. al. at Papyrus.  We don't need the NRL officials
blackflagging drivers for what the tow truck driver is doing.

There was a bug in the 1.37 version of MULTBETA and it is no longer
available. A new release should be available soon.
