glass, especially at Talladega. My opinion only.

I have a Celeron 500 overclocked to 563Mhz... 128MB RAM.. a 7200RPM IBM hard
drive and a Velocity 4400 TNT AGP card and a Voodoo2 card and the game
usually stays at aroudn 25-28fps.
I know someone of you will defend this but... PAPYRUS really sucks!!! It
started when Sierra bought them. SODA Off Road Racing?!?! Does anyone even
play that still?! It just goes to show you.. Papyrus can't do shit now.
They have to keep working on their Nascar 2 engine... trying to make it
better because they don't know how to program something new. They're a
bunch of monkeys!!!!

What I was saying is that I don't consider 20-25fps smouth as glass.
Also, I get 18-25fps with all the details turned on, with 43 drawn
ahead, 16 bit sound, value 6 draw ahead (track), high value skid buffer
on the PACE LAP. When I'm running by myself, it's fine. I can even run
the game in 1024X768 with 30+ fps. But at Taladega, in the draft, I
really hate it when the frame rates dips below 26 fps. I found that a
value of 4 in draw ahead (track) and medium skid buffer is just fine (as
well as 4 cars heard, don't see much difference with 7). As for your
other allegation, I'm assuming you didn't play with the game that much.
It's alot better than N3. I'm sorry to hear that's it's not on par with
your standards. BTW, what is? What's your favorite racing sim?

You have a Celeron 500 and the game stays in the 25-28 fps range? Glad
to see my unacelerated PII 400 is not doing too bad compared to yours!
