Hi, I want to know if the cars take off if your wheel gets in contact
with an opponent'S wheel?? If so it will be so great!!!

Yes. It's tricky but if you have enough speed you can fly very high and you
are not rolling in the air.

Hmmm. Doesn't this posting make you a little suspicious that the sudden
appearance of a Microprose support person on this group is in fact a
complete hoax? Especially considering that all postings originate from a
server called dmi.usherb.ca!

Yep!! Crossing the wheels with another car will make you airborne
almost immediately. After a start, I could watch one of my
opponents' wooden plank in my rearview mirror while he was hopping
across the track... Great sim!!

Yep, they will! Check out

for some excellent shots of cars flying thru the
air.

Given the ending of the Toronto Indycar race, I don't care if that EVER gets
into a race sim   :(

Hi Richard,

You are correct, the guy  is a fake! and I'm not surprised, recently
I've got some fans on the newsgroups ;)
You can tell from the header, he did not even copy my organization
line where it always shows: Spectrum HoloByte,Inc. instead of what he
wrote. Anyway, my provider is called HOOKED and my message headers
show be similar to this one:

Path: news.hooked.net!usenet

Newsgroups: rec.autos.simulators
Subject: Official Grand Prix II ship date
Date: Fri, 12 Jul 1996 19:25:16 GMT
Organization: Spectrum HoloByte, Inc.
Lines: 38

NNTP-Posting-Host: bass-26.ppp.hooked.net

Take care!

Best,
Gabriel/Spectrum HoloByte & MicroProse support
