White with a central black stripe.
The Yamura car in the "Grand Prix " movie is infact the first mclaren F1
car.
Also the Naca ducts on the nose were very distinctive.

In 1967, Bruce McLaren drove 3 different cars:    An M4B, which was
basically their F2 car fitted with a smaller BRM V-8 developed for the
Tasman series.   It was painted red.    Then he drove the second
Eagle-Weslake in 3 races, then finally the M5A-BRM which was red with
a silver stripe edged in green.   The last car suffered from the
weight of the BRM V-12 engine, but even so McLaren almost won in
Canada until the battery boiled dry.

All this is from "McLaren - The Grand Prix, Can-Am and Indy Cars" by
Doug Nye.

That's almost all  true, Richard.   McLaren made some extra money by
subbing for the Yamura car, even to the extent of wearing a "Pete
Aron" helmet.   But that was in 1966, not '67.
