GPL and thrustmaster T2

GPL and thrustmaster T2

I just got GPL, and I'm trying to get my T2 to work with the game. The game
recognizes the pedals, they work just fine. However, it refuses to recognize
the wheel for steering inputs. The wheel does work in other windows games,
including SODA, so it isn't a windows problem. I have the thrustmaster propanel
and everything. If anyone has any input at all, i would highly appreciate it.
This is driving me absolutely nuts!

What Soundcard do you have?

Try the "Generic" setting instead of Direct Input on the control setup
screen. That is what I had to do with my T2 and it worked fine.

Hmmm ... my T2 works just fine with DirectInput driver, plugged to a PCI
soundcard.

In calibration screen, do you see wheel axis? Or do you see just one axis
for the pedals?

Thank you to everyone for the responses...I am currently using the integrated
yamaha soundcard on my dell computer...I have a thrustmaster acm in the
computer but it is not currently installed. Direct input doesn't seem to work,
and I can calibrate two axes. However, when I go to set the steering inputs,
GPL won't recognize that I am turning the wheel, although it will calibrate the
steering axis. Is there an .ini file I can manually edit?

Thanks,

When you say it refuses, to accept steering for input, does this mean
that it does calibrate the wheel?  Did you only turn left when you
selected steering?

Are you using direct input?  Is the box for poll with interupts unchecked
in the game controllers applet?

What range are you getting when you calibrate the wheel and pedals?
Both direct input and generic.

Thanks for the interest, but I got it to work. I just plugged in my MS
Precision Pro and set up the steering with that. Seems to work fine...

btw, I was using the direct-input, since generic didn't help before. Yes the
poll with interrupts check-box was cleared. I'm not quite sure why you asked
which way i was turning the wheel. Anyway, it works now.
