GP2 - Canada and Customizing

Last night (the 24th) I bought my reserved copy of GP2 at Babbage's
in West Edmonton Mall here in Canada.  Though I'm only running a 486-33,
I still think the game's great.  I'm getting around 10 fps on VGA with
a few details (don't worry, I'm buying a P166 very soon).

Also, as Dino Miniutti said, you can customize the***pit any way you
like.  So there's no reason to complain about the***pit anymore -
just change it yourself.  For example, the gear change indicator lights
were dim multicolored things so I changed them into bright red lights
as in the real cars.  Also, I removed the steering wheel and the driving
aid indicators.  Much better.

To do this, just edit the PCX files (cphi.pcx or something).  You can
see that the program draws the***pit as pictured, then pastes the
icons onto it to provide the animation.  Just change the***pit and
icons however you desire!
