T2 problems? Check your setup

by Andy Jacks » Thu, 23 May 1996 04:00:00

I was initially quite disapointed with my T2, and returned to using keys.
However, after playing with the setup last night, it now seems greatly
improved.  These suggestions have been posted here by other in the past,
but I think they are worth repeating for new T2 owners:
(assuming your using NASCAR or ICR2)
1  REDCUE the amount of Steering Lock for the default setups.  Eg I was
running at Michigan with the ACE setup which has 16deg of Steering Lock,
and found it much improved with 10deg.
2  Play with NOn-LINEAR/LINEAR in the Controller/setup menu. I can't
actually think which is the correct setting (sorry), but it'll feel
noticably better with one of them.
These changes will get rid of that "dead" area in the straigh-ahead
position, and make the wheel much more responsive.

Good luck!
