All you're saying is that you don't know anything about science or the
scientific method. The thing that Darwin lacked to prove his theory were the
Mendelian theories which weren't widely published or recognized until the
1900s some 35 years after Darwin's first studies and many years after his
death in 1881. While Gregor Mendel died in 1884 - his works were not widely
known until the 1900s. Many theologians vigorously attacked Darwin's ideas
though they knew nothing about biology, less about genetics and nothing about
Mendel's studies that would explain much of Darwin's conjectures. Once the
theologians rejected Darwin's works, they were fond of repeating what had
been written in the past and were loathe to investigate new developments as
they were revealed. The above does not include Catholic and Jewish scholars
who readily accepted the scientific explanations regarding Darwinism as they
were revealed. Darwin's _Origin of the Species_ published in 1859 caused
little furor among the theologians, but his _Descent of Man_ published in
1871 caused a major upheaval in the world of theology as well as among
traditionalist scholars at that time. Of course modern discoveries such as
DNA have solidified Darwin's theories in spite of the fact such advancements
are ignored by fundamentalist theologians who continue to repeat arguments
written by naysayers prior to the wide acceptance of Mendel's studies. Of
course the major logical fallacy of theologians is that they fail to see that
perhaps the Supreme Being chose evolution as His method of creation.
Evolution was perhaps the greatest conflict between science and theology
since the publication of the works of Galileo Galilei, Nicolaus Copernicus
and Tycho Brahe. For more on Darwin see:
