I downloaded the 30 MB F1 Racing demo from operation 3dfx. After
unzipping the file and clicking on the F1voo.exe, the game asks for the
CD to be inserted. What gives?

I downloaded the latest english demo from http://www.f1racingsim.com and
i can tell you that it is FANTASTIC . I originally downloaded the
"pirate"  demo from Avault and can tell you that this version is much
better.  No slowdown anywhere on my P 200  3DFX Voodoo . Also i tried the
running the D3D version and can tell you that new 3DFX D3D   2.14
drivers add very vivid color to the game. The D3D is not that much slower
than 3DFX   though you  miss out on special effects which are excellent.
no request for CD on my demo.........cheers

WAAAAAAAA!  I just missed it.  Today the demo is pulled from
f1racingsim.com (and the france version from o3dfx, too).  Is anyone out
there nice enough to email me the locale of maybe a private ftp site
that I can grab it from or something?  I really want the english
version!

Wooooo!  I found it!  If anyone else needs the english version, send me
email,  I'll tell you in private where to get it.  I don't want to get
anybody in trouble by posting it here :-)
