PIRATED BETA DEMO OF F1 RACING SIMULATION CIRCULATES ON THE NET
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (Sept. 4, 1997) - Ubi Soft Entertainment announced
today that a pirated beta demo of F1 RACING SIMULATION, a real-time 3D
racing game due on the market early next year, has been circulating
across the Internet. The beta demo was originally released to the
French magazine "Joystick" and features a French interface and French
text files.
"As this pirated version of the game spreads like wildfire across the
Internet, Ubi Soft Entertainment wants to ensure that those who do
take the time to download the 27Mb beta demo, are aware that this is a
French demo, with French text and that users must possess a 3Dfx card
to run the download," stated Laurent Detoc, Vice President of U.S.
Operations. "It was not intended for distribution on the Internet or
the U.S. market."
Ubi Soft Entertainment will be releasing an English demo closer to the
game's release date in the first quarter of 1998. The U.S. demo will
more accurately represent the final version of F1 RACING SIMULATION.
It will be customized for the Internet and will feature an English
interface and instruction set.

To all those ***ing & whinning on how bad (or good) the demo is, i
personnaly think this demo is far from what the final release will be
(expected to be release on 27th Oct. 97'). The sounds will be
different, same as "driving feel". For those of you who are
struggling with the "driving over-responsiveness", it's definitly
caused by your PC and standard game port beeing way too fast
in WIN95 for your steering device. A dedicated game card is strongly
suggest here. I'm going to receive a TSW quite soon, and i'll do the
test with and and without the game card, and will post a result and
a review on this on my website
