  Here we go !

The first thing is EA Sports Shoving there Logo up are Ass During start
up to remind us of the incompetent company that hired a team of Idiots to
write software, Then there software doesn't run with the latest drivers
which were out well before the game, The game is supposed
to be State Of  The Art ,What the F--K Happened, The readme file says don't
run above 800x600, {F--K_U,} I got a P4 1900ghz with 512megs of rambus and

Then the standard setups for the cars aren't even close for the Tracks, And
there is not any support for A1 cars during internet play since when is
there only 8 cars in a  F1 Race, this game simulates a team of Losers that
couldn't program a VCR,   Ya im pissed there goes another 30 bucks for a
game that was rushed to the store shelves with only money in mind, I guess
its forget getting it right ,and put a unfinished game on the shelves,
We can only hope PAPYRUS will program a F1 simulation  game, As they are
the only company that has a team of  Competent programmers,

I agree.

SuperBike was the first and last EA Sports game I've ever bought.
"It's in the game" alright, but I'm not playing.

I don't care how good it is, unless they let us turn of these ridiculous
startup screens, they can keep their games.

Another reason why some people shouldn't be allowed to own computers.

I feel your pain.  Box up that piece of garbage and send it my way.  I'll
dispose of it for you.

of pints :-)

: I got a P4 1900ghz with 512megs of rambus and

ass,

Man, does this game hate Nvidea cards or something? I'm satisfied with
F12001's frame rate with my P933 w/ ATI Radeon 32DDR.  1024 X 768 is quite
playable... not as smooth as other games out there but adequate.

Seems to like my TBird 1.333, GF2 Ultra but I do have to run it in windowed
mode, at the same res as my desktop (1270x1024x16). I haven't had to***
around with older drivers or use fraps either. Fraps tells me 55-75 fps when
I do use it.

I'm sorry next time I won't put a gun to your head making you spend your
money on untested goods and perpetuating the instant sales / no quality
programming you so despise.

I agree the startup screen sucks, and I wish we could turn it off.  But it's
not worth chucking the game over...

http://www.jensonf1.com/f12001/, download the "skip movies patch" in the
downloads section. All it does is replace the "it's in the game" and F1
movies with 1-frame movies. Makes it load much faster, and less annoying.

Okay, so you're complaints are the logo at start up, the fact that you can't
race 22 players online, and how the game runs so slow on your machine.

Then you throw in your Papyrus allusion.

First, get the no movies fix.  Second, 22 players online would be difficult
under the best circumstances.  Third, the game runs just fine on my P4 1.3
machine.

Ofcourse I agree with you Alan, except for the 22 players part.. I've
had so many excellent GPL league races with a full field, 19 drivers..
It can be done and there is no excuse that new games can't do what a
3-year old game can't do..
I had -some- nice online races with f1 2001, with 3-6 people, but we
gave up playing online because the number of bugs in multiplayer is
too overwhelming.. I never tried that F1RC Relay thingy, but I heard
it will also support F1 2001 in the future? F1 2001 is great fun
online -when- it works..
