Sorry, One More Problem

I wish OE had this feature :(

I'm a registered Agent user, but I despise the program so much I can't bring
myself to use it.

What is the best FREEWARE reader out there these days, that does selective
quoting ?

I have no aversion to switching, I just haven't found anything truly better.

Offline features are also nice to have, but not mandatory.

You know, I read it as N2K3, but gave my fps for F1c...  Yeah, about 30.  In
N2k2 I think I got about 50 fps.
So, your framerate is STILL more than 3 times mine in F1c.  I'd probably have
to set every graphics option to LOW to get that...

Hi Larry,

it's called BRAINS and just about everyone is using it these days, you
might be surprised how easy it is once you get used to it! ;-)

Personally & seriously, I use slrn which is freeware and lets you
choose your editor of choice (I use emacs) so you can snip unnecessary
parts of the post quickly.

All the best,

uwe

So can anyone help? :(

This happens with Warcraft 3 as well as F1C too, btw. Video/Sound
acceleration doesn't seem to be helping at all.

That jogged the ol memory for a moment.  Back when Win95 first came
out...When I was a young man.... hehehehe   There were lots of users who
had small pauses...little freezes in games and on the desktop.  Usually it
was something like a missing netcard.  Windows THOUGHT it had nic installed
so it would scan every once and awhile to verify the connection.  The
problems would occur if you were offline and had no access to the net or
you removed a nic...then Windows would keep searching for the
hardware/connection til you shut the sucker down.
So as far as I know, this sort of problem was fixed long ago...but do you
have an onboard nic as well as a nic card?  perhaps you have a conflict
somewhere...and if I recall, you are using a soundcard right?   Make sure
in the bios that the onboard sound system(if your motherboard comes equiped
with onboard sound) is disabled.
