NCR2 and FM sound?

NCR2 and FM sound?

There doesn't seem to be a switch to toggle between FM and digital
sound in NCR2.  Does anyone know if there are plans to implement one?

I find the digital sound great but in long races the endless
scratching sound in the background drives me nuts.  I use an SB16.

Bill.

Hey, I though I was the only one allowed to rip Creative Labs'
products. =)

As far as I know there is no FM sound in Nascar2. THe "scratching" you
hear could be your SB-16 :-)

This is one thing that I was disgusted to find what was still present.
It was worse in NCR1 IMO. I have an AWE32 which only seems to suffer
this problem in NCRx. Ages ago when I played NCR1 all the time, ie
before ICR2 arrived, I posted about this problem to find I wasn't the
only one.

I haven't come across any NCR2 bugs yet, but WHY does it have to
crackle so much?!

Nope, it's the *** from the track being thrown up against the wheel
well/crush panels. ;-)

Probably because that is how the SB16 is (ie a feature). I have an Ensoniq
Soundscape and the NCR2 sound is just fine. Plus no crackle...
