I realize I may be 8 days too late here, but I was just catching up on my
last 2 issues of Autoweek, and noticed a great article with Jacque
Villeneuve and James Garner.  They talk about making the movie Grand Prix,
the way F1 is now vs. the way it was then, and other things.  There is also
a couple great pictures of Garner and Villeneuve in GPL style cars.  Like I
said, if you guys already talked about this article, forgive me, but it is a
great read for any GPL fan out there.

The best part is how Jacque talks about how the old cars just seem to
'hover' at speed.  Reminds you of your first day in GPL lapping at Monza
with the default setups doesn't it?

Somewhat related is the article in the Feb 2000 Car And Driver about the
cross-country rally that a guy did in a 1930's IndyCar replica, and kept a
diary of the event.  It's basically an open-wheel car that goes over 100
mph, has tires that are about the width of today's mountain bikes but hard
as rocks, and mechanical brakes that maybe slow you down a little.  If I
remember the article correctly, something like a quarter of all the
fatalities at Indy happened with this style car.  And we thought the '67
Grand Prix cars were dangerous!
