No force feedback in GPL

Just wondering if anybody can help.  I have a Logitech Momo under XP.  I
have created a CORE.INI file and pasted in the recommended settings for
force feedback but can't feel anything at all in the game.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

M.

Have you patched GPL to version 1.2 ? (1.1 is the minimum that has FF but
the game timing is screwed)

Check the name of the file VERY carefully (Windoze adds the .ini extension
so you might have a file called core.ini.ini) and be sure you're not using
the sample.core.ini file. Delete it or move it elsewhere.

Not exactly.  The sample file is named core.ini.sample.  You have to rename
the file core.ini (assuming you don't already have one). The default setting
on Explorer is to not show the file extensions.  So core.ini and
core.ini.sample will just show up as core in Explorer.  You need to select
"View" from the Explorer menu and then choose "Details" to see the
extensions.  That way you can make sure that your file is named correctly.
If it isn't (e.g., it is actually core.ini.sample, right click on the file
and choose "Rename" and type in core.ini - ignore the warning about changing
the extension).

Hope this helps,

Dave Ewing
