A couple of days?......... Um...........I don't think so. A couple of hours
for viewers in other time zones was basically what the term Spoiler was
coined for.  Geez,. I can't get to my tape for a couple of months don't spoil it for me. LOL........

But it's not.  Everybody knows that.  You don't go into a motorsport-related
newsgroup when you want to escape from motorsports!

A "Spoiler" would have been nice, Tom...

I like Joe Gibbs, but I can't *stand* Tony Stewart.  I was pulling for Mark
Martin to win it somehow.  When Andretti blew up, I hoped Tony would get caught
up in it.

This man speaks the truth.

But still, TP-formybunghole should have had a little more tack for one
that has been on usenet for so long. It's almost like he is an eternal
newbie.

Based on the replies Don, I guess there will always be a split between those
of us who have responsibilities and duties outside of "motor racing fun" and
those who, apparently, do not.

What I would also like to understand is what possible value there is in
trumpeting congratulations for a winner or champion here?  Does it make the
slightest difference to the congratulatee?  Do they know you?  Does anyone
here care whether you congratulate?  Don't we all want to congratulate all
winners?  Since we don't discuss these off topic issues (various racing
personalities and their exploits) regularly, it can't even be a pissing
contest, like ha, ha, my guy won and yours didn't.  It completely escapes
me.  But then so does the nonchalant ***-you attitude of those who think
that people like us are losers because we might look in this newsgroup
before we have viewed our tapes.  I guess having only 15 minutes to enjoy a
hobby on a Sunday evening instead of 4 hours isn't a concept well
understood.

Oh, another nihilist like myself 8)

But then again, you never made a "silent post" in your life?  Does the dead
people care that you posted here if you've done that?

But then again, why would somebody enter a newsgroup (which is created to
discuss things) related to motorsports when you don't want to know the
results of a popular motorsport series whom that day had a race to decide of
it's championship?

Tom, I know you are not a stupid or ignorant person.  Can you not read the
subject line of your own post?

Since the last race of the season was to decide the championship, was it
important to you to be the first one to run over to your computer and
blabber it on here?  Did Tony mention he was assisting with NR2003 in his
acceptance speech or something else earth shattering for r.a.s.?  What
purpose does your off-topic post have?  A greater value than spoiling even
one person's enjoyment of the race who may not have been able to see it
live?  I think all of Europe falls into that category, by the way, just like
we don't get to see WRC races live over here.  Unless you have an
explanation, I am going with the "it wasn't worth spoiling even one person's
enjoyment" option.

Well, I always manage to go a week without finding out the result because thats how long it takes us to get to see the races in
Europe. Most people would have put a spoiler in the title but I wouldnt expect and ignorant *** like him to do it. He just shows
time and time again what a *** he is.

Has anyone else noticed that if you put Stewart and Zippendeli in a dryer,
spun it a few times, and took them out you'd never be able to tell which is
which ?

This group is about sims.  I expect to see results of online tournaments or
races here that involve sim racing.  I should not see real racing posts here
at all, but if they are they should be marked OT and absolutely not
broadcast spoilers.  What part of this is too complicated for a Usenet
veteran like yourself?

Here's the un-complicated part;
why the f should I care about spoiling it for you or not? How bad does
knowing the outcome of a race ruin it for you? Can't watch it at all? Get
real.
Yes this is a sim group - but a large number of the people here watch NASCAR
and it is a place to socialize with people of similar interests as much as
anything else. If it wasn't it would be moderated.
The fact that its a spoiler for you, well that's just too bad - go somewhere
else if it hurts you that much. In fact, I'll go out of my way to always
post race results in topics next year, with rotating usernames just for you.

dumbass.
