VirtuaLM is working on the GroupC mod for F1 2k2. The LeMans 2k1 mod
was a quick graphic port from the F1 2k1 based mod and not a real effort at
getting the physics right. I think you will find the F1 2kx mods require
a little tinkering with your controller setup to get things right. This
was a very common thread when F1 2k1 was released. Most of that same info
translates to 2k2. So making sure you are configured properly is a
biggie. Most of my preferences are to put all the axis' like steering and
throttle to 50%, then reduce the speed sensitivty to very low or zero and
THEN inside the individual setups, reduce the steering lock from 20% to
around 14 to 16%.
try these two sites for links to just about all the f1 2k2 based mods.

You should be able to find both for under 12 dollars if you have a
Walmart or Office Depot. Look for the jewel box low price versions.
Limerock's best version right now is probably for GPL. A version for F1
2k2 will be out with the Lemans 24hr mod...but it is a conversion from
SCGT. It's fun...especially with a large field so you are always in
traffic.
