Dealing with car files is much easier in N2 than it was in N1. If you have
downloaded some cars for N2 in your aol download directory, you should have
them in there as .car files. Open you download directory, click on the .car
file you want to move to highlight it, click on edit, click on copy. Then
open your C:/Sierra/Nascar2/cars directory (assuming on your C drive).
Click on edit, then click on paste. Make sure you paste the .car files in
the cars directory. To check this start the sim, and click on driver info.
You should see the car you just pasted in the left hand column of the
available drivers list.
Now, to get the downloaded car in your current drivers list, you'll need to
move a car out to make room for it, assuming you have 39 cars in your
current list. Just highlite the car you want to move out, and click on the
left arrow, this puts it in the available list. Then, highlite the car you
want to put in from the available list, and click on the right arrow. This
will put your new car at the bottom of the current drivers listt. If you
have the patch installed either through downloading from website, or from
the gns expansion pack, you can highlite the car and move it up the list by
using the > key, or back down the list by using the < key.
That is how you get your downloaded .car files for N2 in the drivers list.
If you don't want to alter your 96 season list, you can also create a new
drivers list, name it whatever you want, and put them in there.
A final note, by copying and pasting it leaves a copy of your downloaded
cars in the aol/download directory. When your sure you've got em where you
want em, you can delete those out.
