UbiSoft F1 Racing Simulation - First laps...

Hi!

Maybe you guys in the States will feel like I do when I read about first
experiences with Longbow2 and I still don't have it. Nevertheless, here
are my first impressions with F1RS (picked it up 3 hours ago).

Config: P200, 64 MB, Monster 3D

Graphics - One word: SPOOOOGE
Driving on the tracks alone I fly into the gravel because I am admiring
the
scenery but mostly because I don't know them anymore. The framerate is
absoulutely fluid (no frame counter found yet), even in Monaco with no
traffic there are NO hickups or slow motion. I only raced with AI at
Melbourne and at the start it was a little sluggish.

Sound - Average
The sound didn't change compared to the (french) demo 8^(.

Physics - Good
It's definitly on par with GP2 (well, GP2 is dead now for sure 8^).

Controls - Good
I was disappointed when I jumped on the track but after changing a few
options it's quite good. It's still not as good (smooth) as in ICR2 or
Nascar2.

Compared to the demo it drives a lot better with the default setups
but there are NO setups included. So you start from scratch...

I'm running out of time, back to the track...

Well, I'm glad for you that you got the game already! I just recently

ordered the BGN Track Pack from the States. This Internet shopping is

really worth something, isn't it?

This game is just perfect!

Some minor quirks, teams/drivers not editable (will happen somehow!),

but the graphics, just gorgeous (check out the rain).

The first thing you should try is the Ghost mode. This is the best way

to learn the tracks.
